Privacy policy

This policy explains what data we collect when you visit Football24.live, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We've written it to be readable. If anything is unclear, email us and we'll explain.

What we collect

Analytics data via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, approximate location (country/city), device type, referrer, time on page and aggregated session info. IP addresses are truncated by GA4 before storage.
Affiliate click events — when you click a sportsbook link, we log the click and the destination so we can report performance to operators and to ourselves. We don't receive your name or any account data from the sportsbook.
Newsletter email — only if you choose to subscribe. Stored with our email provider until you unsubscribe.
Comments — if you post a comment, we store its content, the timestamp, and any name or handle you supply.

How we use it

To run and improve the site (which pages work, what's broken, what's slow).
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and scraping.
To report aggregate affiliate performance to our partners.
To send newsletter content, where you've explicitly opted in.
To comply with legal obligations where they apply.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics, affiliate attribution and to remember preferences like your favourite teams. Full detail, including the names and lifetimes of the cookies we set, is on our cookie policy.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of trusted providers, each with their own privacy practices:

Anthropic — powers AI-generated match previews. We don't pass user data to Anthropic; only public match facts.
sportsrc.org — supplies fixtures, scores, statistics and odds data.
BetBrothers widgets — embedded odds and promo modules served from our partner network.
Payment partners — used for any future paid features. None currently collect data through the public site.
Google (GTM, GA4) — analytics and tag management.

Your rights

If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Have inaccurate data corrected.
Have your data deleted (the "right to be forgotten").
Receive your data in a portable format.
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
Request deletion of your personal information.
Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell, but you can opt out anyway).
Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Data retention

Analytics data: 90 days.
Affiliate click logs: 12 months for fraud and reporting.
Newsletter subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe.
Comments: kept while the article is published; deletable on request.

Children

Football24.live is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes (a new processor, a new purpose) will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.
